Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Watch 8 lineup has surfaced online through leaked renders, offering an early look at the company’s next-generation wearables ahead of the July Galaxy Unpacked 2025 event.
The visuals, released by industry insider Evan Blass (@evleaks), showcase three models: the Galaxy Watch 8, Galaxy Watch 8 Classic, and an upgraded version tentatively referred to as the Galaxy Watch Ultra (2025).
The most notable shift across the series is the adoption of a new “squircle” form factor — a design that merges the circular watch face within a square casing. This design was first introduced with last year’s Galaxy Watch Ultra.
The Galaxy Watch 8 appears to keep a clean look with flat glass covering the screen, a speaker grille on the left edge, and two buttons on the right. No substantial hardware updates are visible from the outside, implying that most of the changes may be on the inside — possibly focusing on performance or battery enhancements.
After a year-long absence, the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic is expected to return. This model incorporates the same squircle chassis while preserving the physical rotating bezel, a hallmark feature of the Classic line. The rotating bezel offers users tactile control for navigation, a feature missing in newer touch-centric models.
Another addition spotted in the leaks is a third button on the side, marked with an orange ring. This Quick Button could be configurable for actions such as starting workouts, activating an emergency siren, or launching outdoor modes — tools previously found in the 2024 Galaxy Watch Ultra.
The render also hints at a new high-performance model that continues the Galaxy Watch Ultra naming scheme. It includes a reinforced build, a prominent fixed bezel, and color highlights in orange and blue. The design appears geared towards heavy-duty users, such as fitness enthusiasts and outdoor explorers. Advanced health monitoring and rugged durability are expected in this variant.
The official unveiling is likely to take place at Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked event next month. Along with the new smartwatches, the brand is anticipated to introduce the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 foldables.
